PASMA, the trade association for the
mobile access tower industry, has
published a new DVD/CD called
“Accidents can happen even at low
level”. Aimed at owners and users of
low level access equipment – defined
by PASMA as having a maximum
platform height of 2.5m – it provides
information and guidance on how to
use folding step units and folding
tower units safely and productively.
The DVD covers everything from
undertaking the initial risk
assessment, checking components
prior to assembly and following
manufacturer’s instructions, to
assembling the unit, checking before
use and completing the necessary
inspection record.
The 16 minute DVD complements
the association’s low level access
training course and highlights some
of the most common errors associated
with this type of equipment.
