Eco-friendly workwear

Posted on Friday 1 January 2010

At the A+A exhibition, Sympatex Technologies will present modular functional garment systems for the corporate wear and workwear sector.

The ecological alternative among functional textile specialists has added new laminates made of recycled and recyclable PES materials to the portfolio. The highlight of the business area “Footwear” is the technology Moisture-tech by Sympatex, which has been increasingly used for safety shoes. At the stand, Sympatex will exhibit partner products from various fields of application.

Together with selected partners, Sympatex develops, produces and distributes membranes, laminates and functional textiles as well as finished products worldwide. The Sympatex membrane is designed to be highly breathable, 100% wind- and waterproof and regulates the climate. It is 100% recyclable, bluesign certified, and it has received the ‘Öko-Tex-Standard 100’ certificate. It is also PTFE-free and PFC-free. The technologies and procedures are based on the principles of ecological responsibility and sustainability with a special focus on the optimal carbon footprint.
