Firm transforms its telehandler

A Forklift attachment company has helped an Anglian-based water company to streamline its manual handling operations.

Contact Attachments was called upon by Anglian Water, the largest water recycling company in England and Wales by geographic area, to supply one of its Telehandler jibs to support the team’s day-to-day lifting of heavy items including motors and pumps.

The lifting jib is part of Contact Attachments’ dedicated Telehandler range, which has been specifically designed to fit to existing machines and lift heavy and awkward loads, converting them into a mobile lifting crane as and when required. The jib supplied to Anglian Water was designed and manufactured to reach 1800mm and lift 1tonne, and was fitted with integral Quick Hitch brackets, allowing the team to connect it to its JCB Telehandler.

Tristan Read, assistant treatment manager at Anglian Water, said: “Our entire lifting operations have been made easier thanks to the lifting jib, and the team who use it were impressed with its build quality and robustness. Due to the length of the attachment, we can now reach further than the forks on our JCB Telehandler, making our lifting work much better.”
