First aid for chemical exposures

Posted on Friday 1 January 2010

When working with chemicals there
is always the potential for someone
to be exposed to the substance they
are working with. This may cause
serious harm resulting in lost time,
costs and the loss of health and
safety management targets.

First Aid for Chemical Exposures
is a one-day training course
presented by NCEC – the UK’s
National Chemical Emergency
Centre. The course provides those
working with chemicals with the
knowledge to be able to give
emergency treatment to someone
who has been exposed to a
substance – before professional
medical attention arrives.
