Fortress Distribution joins BSIF
As part of its commitment to the health and safety industry Fortress Distribution has recently become a member of The British Safety Industry Federation (BSiF) and is now a BSiF Registered Safety Supplier.
BSiF is the leading trade body and key independent voice representing the interests of the UK safety industry. Established in 1994, the BSiF has become the lead association for the Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Directive and is recognised as a Competent Authority by the Health & Safety Executive (HSE). They provide members with the opportunity to influence legislation, standards and enforcement throughout the sector and also assist them to comply with, and conform to, the current health and safety regulations.
Introduced by the BSiF the industry recognised, Registered Safety Supplier Scheme provides reassurance to users of Personal Protective Equipment that their supplier is a credible and capable operator in the Health and Safety market. Companies displaying the scheme’s logo have signed a binding declaration that the safety equipment they offer meets the appropriate standards, fully complies with the PPE regulations and is appropriately CE marked.
