Free app to meet chain needs
Donghua has launched what it says is the UK’s first App dedicated to the identification of chain.
Donghua, a subsidiary of one of the world’s largest chain manufacturers, has taken the popular Online Chain ID Tool from its website and converted it into a free App.
MD Bob Wellsbury said: “We receive many calls from engineers who need help to identify the right replacement chain for a piece of equipment. Last year we launched a simple Online Chain ID Tool on our website which captures key information from which we can quickly and easily identify chain. Customers have found the convenience of this online Tool really useful and feedback has been tremendous.”
He adds: “Developing the Online Chain ID Tool as a mobile application means users can now complete the Chain ID form on the go, on any device. The App, which is the first of its kind in the UK, also comes with an added visual ID feature – users can take a photo of the chain they want to replace and upload it to the App, making identification even quicker and more reliable.”
If an order is placed following identification of the replacement chain via the App and it is wrong, Donghua guarantees to supply the correct chain free of charge.
