Having broken into the Icelandic cold store market earlier this year, SAFE-door Industries has secured its first order for a Thermaster installation in the Qatari capital Doha, taking the number of countries where the cold store doorway will be found to six.

As well as having installed doors in nine depots belonging to one of the UK’s largest cold store operators, SAFE-door Industries’ Thermaster can also be found in the freezers of smaller independent cold storage firms as well as in pharmaceutical labs, seafood processing factories and food manufacturing sites.

The Thermaster is a twin-curtain rapid-rise doorway which combines high speed operation to minimise draughts and convection heat losses, with thermal insulation to minimise conduction through the closed door leaf.

Designed and manufactured at the UK headquarters in Brampton, Cumbria, the Thermaster has been developed to deliver low running costs and great energy savings. Installation of the Thermaster cold store doorway has seen clients benefit from improved store temperature control, reduced defrost frequencies and improved safety due to ice-free floors. In addition, ice and snow on surrounding walls disappears through sublimation as the amount of warm moist air entering the cold store is drastically reduced. SAFE-door Industries Ltd were proud to exhibit Thermaster at TCS&D 2015, and will be showing off their range of thermal solutions at the Gulfood Manufacturing show at the Dubai World Trade Centre on 27-29 October 2015.
