Lighter container
RPC Emballages Moirans has launched what it says is the first UN certified 20 litre container to weigh just 700g.
The new 320 range, blow moulded in HDPE, is part of an ongoing enhancement programme which has seen the weight of its 20 litre UN container reduced from 900g to first 800g and now 700g.
Key to this success has been RPC’s ability to reduce the amount of material required to manufacture the container, while ensuring that it retains the necessary robustness and strength to safely handle and transport hazardous products.
As well as minimising material usage, the lighter container can help to reduce transport costs and a company’s carbon footprint. The ergonomic design is also easy to handle.
