Reid’s Porta-Gantry Rapide has
been chosen by
WEFTEC (Water
Environment Federation’s
Annual Technical Exhibition
and Conference) in the US
as a key component in its
annual Safety
Operations Challenge
for 2012-2015.

The lightweight,
portable PG-Rapide is capable of
multiple configurations depending
on the requirement, and is easily and
rapidly assembled by one person in
just one minute. With a goods rating
of WLL 500kg and personnel
lifting/fall arrest capability for three
people, it weighs just 31kg.

At WEFTEC over 40 safety teams
will race to recover an unconscious
worker overcome by an
unknown chemical in a
manhole. The PG-Rapide
was selected following its
strong showing in last
year’s exhibition. Made
from optimised, custom
designed aluminium
alloy sections, the
PG is designed to
be stowed in most service vans and
easily transported and operated
within manual handling guidelines.
