Load-handling equipment

Posted on Friday 1 January 2010

Harken Industrial will showcase the latest additions to its range of load-handling equipment at A+A 2015.

The Harken PowerSeat is a sit-on powered ascender with an in-built manual friction-brake descender. Designed to be used anywhere that rope access is possible, the PowerSeat’s brake system protects the user from free fall and in an emergency, it can be evacuated safely and left behind as the operator is already clipped to conventional harness equipment. Also on show will be the LokHead winch – a self-tailing, man-riding winch with the security and safety of a captive head, offering complete security against accidental free fall.

Harken Industrial’s hard-wearing Access Rail System is designed to be an adjustable anchorage point for external maintenance. It provides a secure, reliable solution for use in fall restraint, fall arrest, and suspended working applications. The Riggers Winch 200 provides the user with a lightweight, CE certified, portable winch mounted to a robust adaptor plate.

Andy Ash-Vie, MD of Harken Industrial UK, said: “The latest additions to our range have been ergonomically designed and engineered to make it easier, faster and – most importantly – safer for the operator, wherever they are working.”
