Looking for a better way

Posted on Friday 1 January 2010

A Staffordshire-based Health and Safety professional has launched his own business after becoming increasingly frustrated with a health and safety industry that placed more emphasis on ticking boxes than taking into account real work situations.

38-year-old Phil Plant, health and safety manager at a major national company, said: “The whole Health and Safety industry has become incredibly complex and expensive and I started thinking there must be a better way of doing things.”

A chance meeting with website and software designer Seb Shakh has since led to the launch of Integral Safety Management.

Phil continued: “Unlike other internet-based companies that offer standard forms and policy document templates, Integral gives customers complete control of their online documents, ensuring they are relevant to their unique requirements. What’s more these professional-looking documents, are automatically updated by Integral should there be any change in legislation.”
