Man hole lifting made easy

Drainage and access cover specialist
Fabweld Steel Products has
launched the SOLO SLIDE, part of
FSP’s FAB Pave range.

It is a recessed manhole cover
and frame, with an ergonomically
designed key allowing for single
person operation and eliminating
health and safety lifting concerns.

Managing director, Richard
Hilton, says: “The functional design
of the key ensures an upright
posture for the operator and makes
it extremely user friendly.”
FSP also responded to industry’s
concerns about slips and trips and
after research carried out by FSP’s
R&D department, the company
developed the FAB GRIP range of
anti-slip covers, with a coating that
has a low potential for slipping.

FSP’s customers include Severn
Trent, Thames Water and United
Utility.
