New app protects workers on the move

PEOPLESAFE HAS launched Travelsafe, an innovative new app designed to better protect people on the move.

Travelsafe combines highly developed technology with a professional emergency response team, who can get police to the scene of an emergency in just four minutes to provide protection and support to anyone whenever they travel.

Travelsafe is an effective, instantly rolled-out personal safety solution, enabling users to feel safe whether they’re on public transport, driving, cycling, walking, or taking a taxi. Hybrid employees can feel better protected wherever they work and workers on the move can record their journeys at any time of day.

These notifications ask for confirmation that everything is ok and, if at any point, the response is ‘no’, or there’s a repeated failure to respond, an SOS alarm is immediately raised to the ARC. 

With all problem-free journeys, the timer is cancelled once the destination is within a certain radius. Should the journey take longer than expected, users are prompted to extend the timer (if safe to do so). In the event that the journey time expires, they fail to reach their destination and there is no response to repeated prompts or calls from the app, an SOS alarm is raised instantly, with real time details of the journey shared to the ARC.
