Noise monitoring kit
Campbell Associates are about to launch a new piece of kit, designed by industry specialists for the measurement of human exposure to noise.
The soundBadge is an uncomplicated, compact and lightweight dosimeter to be worn by operatives in the workplace. Noise levels are monitored on the clear LCD screen, and measurements can be downloaded to a PC via a mini USB connector. Data processing and accurate noise/time reports are easily generated using the supplied PC software, soundViewer.
Meanwhile, the SoundEar illuminated traffic light system automatically warns employees when hearing protection must be worn in line with action levels in the Noise at Work Regulations 2005. Alarms can be pre-set at 16 different levels.
