On French farms

Edinburgh based engineering firm
Limpet Technology has announced
a deal with Allianz to install its
Limpet safety system in turbines at
the Longuyon wind farm, in
Northern France.

The order provides Limpet
Technology with its largest
installation in Europe to date.

“Our ‘yellow box’ is designed to
provide multiple safety functions in
one simple and easy to use solution –
fall prevention, Intelligent Climb
Assist, work positioning, rescue and
evacuation,” says David Taylor,
director of Limpet Technology.

Gordon Johnston, a director at
Allianz Specialised Investments adds:
“Our on-site technicians now suffer
less fatigue and operate in a safer
environment”.
