Protects skin for up to four hours
Our skin is constantly exposed to rising levels of pollutants and other irritants as a result of our modern lifestyles. Those working in a ‘wet’ environment where hands are regularly washed and exposed to chemicals and antibacterial soaps are also at an increased risk of irritant and allergic contact dermatitis.
The National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health says that skin diseases like contact dermatitis account for 15%-20% of all occupational diseases.
Gloves in a Bottle (GIAB) is quickly absorbed to form a ‘second skin’ that helps stop the dryness associated with frequent hand washing and prevents chemicals from irritating the skin. Unlike conventional barrier creams it does not wash or rub off but protects skin for up to four hours, coming away gradually as skin cells exfoliate. It can therefore save time and money by removing the need for repeated applications of less effective traditional creams used in the workplace.
Laboratory tests have shown it to be fully compatible with the use of alcohol hand gels so making it safe for use in a healthcare environment.
