Rite-Hite invests in new dock leveller production

The investment includes the installation of a new state-of-the-art production line that features a robotic welding systems to significantly increase the speed and quality of manufacture. The new production line is also supported by lean manufacturing processes to ensure maximum efficiency and productivity, while keeping energy consumption and waste to a minimum.

"This multi-million euro investment became necessary to meet the growing demand for high-quality dock levellers in the European market, which also have the ‘Made in Germany’ quality seal," said Thorsten Mauritz, marketing manager for Europe at Rite-Hite.

"By investing further in our production capabilities, we are clearly signalling our continued commitment to our European customers. When developing the new RiteLoad dock levellers, our goal was to deliver unrivalled durability and the highest quality product with fast availability, and we are more than satisfied with the result!"

The new series features new advanced controls, improved design and reinforced construction for enhanced safety. The longevity and stability of the new RiteLoad dock leveller series – achieved through improved telescopic lip guidance and optimised plateau construction – is such that Rite-Hite provides a full 10-year warranty on the steelwork and assembly in comparison to the customary five-year warranty across the industry.

Earlier this year, Rite-Hite also announced plans to manufacture its Eclipse Dock Shelter at its German facility in Volkmarsen to increase availability, reduce delivery times and supply chain challenges, and provide a more sustainable option for its European customers.
