SAFE contractor accreditation

Posted on Friday 1 January 2010

Wyatt Bros, the water well drilling company, has achieved full SAFE contractor accreditation, a scheme that assesses the health and safety competency of contractors and service providers, and one used by many large organisations.

Wyatts are now listed on the SAFE contractor website as an approved contractor; this website is used by various companies to search for proven and trusted accredited contractors. As a result of this accreditation Wyatts are able to use the SAFE contractor logo on its drilling rigs, vehicles, and any relevant company material alongside their own logo and other accreditations such as the newly attained CHAS logo.
Bob Taylor, Wyatts Bros’ quality, health, safety & environmental manager, said: “Working towards Wyatts achieving the important SAFE contractor accreditation has been an ongoing process since the end of last year. This new accreditation is highly thought of in the industry and is viewed positively by both staff and customers. It clearly demonstrates Wyatts’ commitment to health and safety practices seen at its Whitchurch base and across all work sites throughout the UK.”

The SAFE contractor accreditation came about as a response to some of Wyatts’ customers’ health and safety guidelines stating that their service providers attained this new accreditation scheme, which was then achieved following rigorous auditing of all Wyatts’ health and safety records, operator reports and log books.
