Safe firework storage

Posted on Friday 1 January 2010

Mobile Mini, a hirer of portable accommodation and secure storage solutions, has been chosen as the preferred supplier of storage containers, by four leading supermarkets, to house fireworks safely and securely in the run up to Bonfire Night.

Mobile Mini will supply 1,500 containers to retail stores across the UK, which will store fireworks for up to a six month period, in accordance with health and safety regulations. The containers will ensure all fireworks are stored safely away from food and household items, and that the general public are protected from any dangers.

Made from strong steel with anti-vandal construction, each container is fireproof and watertight, ensuring safety and security for hazardous stock. Mobile Mini continually works closely with the FPA (Fire Protection Association) to ensure all health and safety procedures are adhered to.

Another benefit for retailers is bulk ordering, which is not only cost effective but also ensures customer demand is always met.

Chris Watcham, Mobile Mini’s health and safety director, said: “Safety is one of our highest priorities and we’ve worked closely with all firework suppliers and supermarkets to ensure each container has been thoroughly checked before delivery to guarantee first class safety and security. This is why Mobile Mini is a trusted and preferred supplier of firework storage and we will continue to work with relevant customers as fireworks become a more year round option for many consumers.”
