Safety in the spotlight

With the dark mornings and afternoons drawing in, Curtis Instruments says that it’s wise to invest in their specialist lighting options, notably the LED work lamps and the Blue Spot Visual Warning Lamps for all manner of vehicles.

The company says that these products ensure health & safety compliance and can help avoid costly accidents and down time.

LED light developments in recent years include a much longer life and brighter output. Low energy consumption, reliability and resistance to shock and vibration is matched by less maintenance than existing xenon alternatives.

The Curtis 1000 Lumen work lamps are available in 12/24V and 12/48V options backed by a two year warranty. Construction is of a tough aluminium case with polycarbonate lens, waterproof and steam cleanable as well as being cold store proof.

The Blue Spot lamp points the way ahead focusing on the floor surface. Again featuring a 2 year warranty and the same high grade case and lens, the lamp encloses 4 x 3W LEDs. It is IP67 rated and suitable for IC or electric trucks. The recently launched Blue Arrow version actually shines a “blue arrow” on the ground to show anyone in the immediate vicinity from which direction something is approaching.
