Smart emergency tags

Posted on Friday 1 January 2010

ICEid tags are more than standard ICE (In Case of Emergency) tags. Available from CKL Clothing Distribution, they utilise technology to make your staff’s emergency contact details and medical information available more easily and quickly to first responder rescue services if they are incapacitated due to an accident or illness.

The small and unobtrusive tags can be attached to the zip puller of a jacket and display a unique QR code. Emergency service personnel, who are all trained to look for ICE tags, can scan this QR code using a smartphone, and retrieve the information that can be crucial to make faster and better informed medical decisions, as well as contact details for any concerned parties such as employers or family.

Information is optional but can include telephone numbers, medical conditions, and details of any medication. All data is held online in a private, confidential and secure environment.

ICEid tags are free with any jacket in the ‘VISIJAX Industrial’ range of LED high visibility jackets, also available from CKL.
