Temperature measurement

Posted on Friday 1 January 2010

NUK thermometer manufacturer TM Electronics has launched a barcode scanning logging thermometer, the MM7100 ThermoBarScan, for handheld food temperature measurement.

Using high accuracy temperature measurement combined with its own integral barcode reader, this thermometer can record not only the temperature, time and date of each measurement but also scans user-set barcodes to identify every product or test point. The instruments stores up to 1000 measurements before downloading to PC using free open-source software for a cost-effective solution.

The user is offered the choice of programming alarm limits for individual targets/locations, global alarms for all temperature test points, or even specially designed legionella-safe alarm limits. The user can also choose their own remedial action recommendations, which display when an alarm limit is exceeded.
