The great escape
The PremAire Escape from MSA Technologies and Enterprise Services was designed with extensive input from global oil & gas customers who highlighted the need for a fast to don and easy to use respirator with components withstanding high levels of potential industrial gas leaks and harsh chemical environments.
Its intuitive donning procedure takes less than 5 seconds, enabling the wearer to escape from a potentially hazardous environment offering 10-15 minutes air supply. The standard PremAire Escape is equipped with the proven MSA 3S full face mask.
For potential high concentration industrial gas leaks the device is available with the PremAire Mask-Hood. This version features an integrated mask-hood combination providing two independent protection barriers. The first protection seal is the original tight fitting face seal in combination with the positive pressure created by the AutoMaXX lung governed demand valve.
The second barrier is created by the hood/neck seal isolating the face piece sealing line from the ambient gaseous atmosphere. The Mask-Hood design enables the continuous flushing of the hood with exhaled clean air. Components were tested in a third party test house with real H₂S at concentrations exceeding 25% and the permeation detected was minimum. The PremAire Escape is approved according to EN 402.
