User-friendly app

Posted on Friday 1 January 2010

Specialist infrastructure provider blu-3 has launched its S.A.F.E app to promote health and safety awareness and encourage reporting across all levels of the business.

The S.A.F.E app is designed to encourage employees to stop and think, employ a safe attitude, focus on safety and engage by implementing best practice and reporting anything that is potentially unsafe. It is the latest in a series of health and safety-focused initiatives implemented by the company, including its inaugural HSEQ week held earlier this year.

Coenraad Fourie, HSEQ director, at blu-3, said: “The user-friendly app is available for everyone across the business to download and we welcome all observations, be they good or bad, to ensure we are driving continuous improvement.

“At blu-3 we believe our people are our most valuable asset, so ensuring health and safety is at the forefront of our practices is paramount. The S.A.F.E app achieves this by putting the reporting process directly into the hands of our people.”

Accessed via a smartphone or tablet, the app’s online forms allow employees to report both examples of good practice and observations of where practices could be improved.
