Why study for your Health and Safety Diploma?

Posted on Friday 1 January 2010

According to THSP – The Health & Safety People, studying for the Level 5 NVQ Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety allows you to learn practical health and safety skills whilst still earning, enhancing your earning potential and progressing your career to the next level.

There are no exams, no classrooms, no revision and you can study at your own pace – over three years if necessary; developing essential skills as you go along.

Achieving the Level 5 NVQ means that you can apply for membership of IOSH at Graduate level (GradIOSH) and can gain CMIOSH status by taking the NEBOSH open-book exam and peer review. This popular NVQ accredited course can be booked either by yourself or by your employer.

The course provides a low-cost, flexible alternative to the NEBOSH Diploma, and requires minimal time away from work and minimal disruption to your workplace.

It is designed to improve health and safety practice and culture within business, reducing costs by preventing accidents. It can also help to ensure employee compliance with health and safety policies as well as health and safety legislation.
