Wind turbine contracts
Limpet Technology has announced the first contracts related to a new strategic partnership to supply its Limpet multifunctional height safety systems to German wind turbine manufacturer REpower Systems SE.
The first two contracts were awarded to upgrade the 1st generation climb
assist systems in older technology turbines which do not have service elevators fitted. The customers were drawn towards the industry leading features on the Limpet L5 system, which include: intelligent climb assist (90% of climbers weight); proactive fall prevention (not arrest); “Clip and Go” evacuation; rapid remote rescue capability, and precise work positioning capability (including clip on/off).
