With a total of 14 podiums including one race win, seven second place and six third place finishes, Lotus F1 Team has enjoyed a successful season in the 2013 Formula 1 World Championship.
This success has been helped by Cat Footwear who has supplied the Lotus F1 Team with the Kaufman boot, a lightweight and comfortable safety boot.
The boot features ERGO, an ergonomic design which is said to reduce fatigue. ERGO is a series of design principals which work together to deliver footwear that promotes foot health by integrating stability, flexibility and comfort – enhancing the natural movements of the foot.
Commenting on the partnership, team principal Eric Boullier said: “The Cat work boots and shoes supplied to the team are extremely lightweight and comfortable and have a great deal of flex and stability, which is important for the skilled engineers, mechanics and machinist who work on our F1 cars. The footwear is very well constructed and comes packed with innovative footwear technologies such as enhanced flexion, ergonomically designed features that reduce fatigue, and SRX – a ‘best in class’ slip resistant outsole that exceeds industry standards.”
