Youngman Eco S Line Extra Tall Timber Loft Ladder

Posted on Friday 1 January 2010

A good quality solid spruce 3-section folding loft ladder with handrail which requires no headroom or storage space and will fit floor to ceiling heights of up to 3.5m (with the optional extension piece).

The Youngman Eco S Line is one of the best mid-range timber loft ladders on the market. It has plenty of nice touches which give it a quality feel. The solid spruce build (FSC and PEFC certified) gives it a superior feel, the loft hatch has a clean, white finish or if you want to paint, varnish or clad it the hinges are hidden making it easy.

As standard the Youngman Eco will fit floor to ceiling heights upto 2.81 metres, but this ladder is on it's own when it comes to fitting high ceilings. With the extension piece available at an extra cost the Eco will fit floor to ceiling heights of up to 3.51 metres. With the exception of our heavy duty alloy and bespoke ladders that makes the Eco S Line one of a kind. There certainly isn't another timber ladder that will fit those dimensions.

The features on this ladder are endless. All of the treads have a non-slip surface for safe climbing and at 21 mm thick furnished with doweled joints they are uniquely robust. Opening and closing is enhanced with a smoothening spring counter balanced mechanism which is effortlessly operated using our free timber 'push/pull' rod. The ladder sections are not fitted to the trapdoor (requires installer assembly) providing a lower overall height profile for easier storage & transportation. The Eco S Line also comes with a handrail.

If you intend moderate to heavy use of your loft ladders and appearance, as well as cost, are important to you then you probably won't do better. All in all the Eco S Line is the full package and one of our top recommendations. Comes fully assembled with loft hatch and all fitting instructions making it suitable for easy & quick DIY installation.

FREE timber 'push/pull' rod supplied with these ladders.

The fully insulated hatch comes with a rubber draught seal and a 'rabbet' groove finish to ensure extra tight closing which prevents heat loss, downward draughts and saves you money on your heating bills. Manufactured to BS EN14975.
